Critics:
Static portraits with a
clear line in colour and form.
The dark and discreet background
allows the language of form and colour of the portraits on the foreground
to stand out in an optimal way and creates the direct contact between the
spectator and the artwork.. These portraits, elaborated with much care
for each detail, have nevertheless a monumentality, which may apear at
first sight somewhat formalistic, but after after careful visualization,
the personal and subtle expression of each portrait becomse patent.
By the intuitivity of the
artist, who builds the works in an analistic way, the artworks are equilibrated
and have a pleasant and intimate expression.
Despite a certain mystical
melancholy behind these works, accentuated by the strong influence
of the pre-colombian art, irradiate a positive and careless happiness,
that will no doubt fit well in the home of any sensitive artlover.
A daily tonicum of positivity.
