The ethereal matter with European airs lands in OAMI F. Abad. 09.03.2005 In these times that are so Europeanly tainted, it's never too much, to get nearer to what is being created beyond the Pyrenees. One of the pieces of the artists of the volumes, who lives in the city of Elche. The OAMI (European Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, Avda. Europa, 4, to be visited during office hours) erects itself now as introducer of such artistical imaginations, with the artworks of the painters Fons Heijnsbroek and Ben Vollers and the sculptor Roy Ledgard (his artwork on the picture). Basically, the work brings us airs of abstract lines, penultimate creative stop -according to the critics- in the transformative path of any respectable artistic career. Or else, from the figurativism to the shematising of the interior world of the creating artists. Something very evident, for example, with the sculptor that illustrates this article, Roy Ledgard, living in Elche by the way, and a specialist in working with wood, whose organic visualizations introduce the spectator in a rich interior world where matter becomes ethereal, in permanent equilibrium.
