His artwork has a wide range of interest and influences that includes: sci-fi, fantasy, comicbooks, cartoons, graphic design, dark horror, surreallism, hyper-realism, classical art, modern art, dead things, dolls, stop motion animatoin, wildlife, tribal cultures, life, etc.
His work can be found in video games, on TV, and numerous publications which reached both national and international distribution. Techniques used in creating his artwork involves the combining of traditional and digital mediums. Drawing, painting, assemblage, collage, photography, sculpture, 3d models, and digital compositing are used.

Jason was born and raised in the frightening town Green Bay Wisconsin in 1973. From birth, Jason disliked sports (which is a sin in Green Bay). He spent most of his childhood in front of the TV. A steady dose of Warner Brother's "Bug's Bunny" cartoons, Robotech, Scooby-Doo, Voltron, ThunderCats, Justice League, Land of the Lost, The Three Stooges, Adam's Family, and The Munsters were his favor shows to watch as a young lad. Believe me, there were many other shows that were watched. In between the doses of TV, plenty of time was spent playing 'Kick the Can', 'Ding Dong Ditch', 'and 'Murder Ball'.
At 11 years old, Jason was a happy spirited boy until that fateful day when he watched 'Alien' with his father. Oh the sweet sweet horror. Soon to follow was 'Conan: The Barbarian', 'Blade Runner', 'Star Wars', and 'Clash of the Titans'. Thus began his fascination with fantasy, science fiction, monsters, and creatures. Notebooks and spare scrapes of paper were filled with tons of sketches. Soon after, he began to play the role-playing-game called 'Dungeons and Dragons'. Full of imagination, wonderful creatures and character designs, Jason's obsession grew greater. Comic books, 'Choose your Adventure' books, D&D modules, and art supplies were the only thing to be found in his room.
Soon after graduating high school, Jason began to attend the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Fine Arts major. He finished 3 semesters before dropping out to pursue a career as an illustrator.
At the age of 19, he got his start as a freelance artist working for Harris Comics producing the comic book title Vamperilla. While attending Chicago ComicCon, Jason met some representatives of White Wolf Games. That began a 5 year freelance working relationship where he created art on various titles which included 'Vampire: The Masquerade', 'Werewolf: The Apocolypse', 'Wraith: The Oblivion', and 'Mage: The Ascension'. Aside from White Wolf, Jason also created illustrations for FASA, TSR, and Wizards of the Coast.
Having over 6 years experience creating artwork for over 40+ books and novels, Jason decided to relocate to San Francisco to pursue a full time career as a concept artist for Film/TV/Video Games. Soon after moving to CA, Jason landed his first job as a contract artist for Broderbund Software where he produced art, illustrations, texture maps, 3D models, 3D animations, and Technical Director for the video game title Prince of Persia 3D. Soon after, he contributed his skills as a 3D modeler to the video game Panzer General 3D. Broderbund was purchased by TLC...TLC was Purchased by Mattel...and Mattel was purchased by UbiSoft. To say the least, Jason found a new job at Savage Frog! where he worked as the Lead Animator creating a number of various TV pilots made for Cartoon Network. He also produced 3D models, was a technical director, created texture maps, and supplied conceptual illustratons. After a year of hard work, Jason found a new job at Nihilistic.
Jason's current role at Nihilistic Software is creating concept art, 3D models, and 3D animation for Nihilistic's next title. When time is available, he loves to create artwork for the sake of creating art. Jason loves every aspect of art and the creation of artistic visions whether it be video, concept, or multimedia. He has a number of projects that he is working on which include: short stories (3D mini films), TV and movies projects (Robbie De Robot), photography series, digital illustration series, multimedia (website design, interface design, video experimentation), graphic design, and publication. Not all at once, but as time progresses.
Beyond work and art creation, Jason loves to take road trips, travel by airplane, and experience new things. Visiting Tokyo, Germany, and Europe has helped Jason to broden his knowledge and artistic horizons. So many places to visit, so little time. 'Baraka' is an excellent film to watch. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out. It's a beautiful film about the world and life as we know it on Earth.
Jason hopes to influence the realm of digital media and push the artistic realm of visual concepts. Such artists, animators, directors, and writers have been a huge influence upon Jason's artistic development: Brother's Quay, Jan Svankmayer, Neil Gaiman, John Carpenter, George Romero, Hayao Miyazaki, Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, Ray Harryhausen, Phil Tippett, David Carson, Dave McKean, Frank Frazetta, Fancis Bacon, Jean-Leon Gerome, Joseph Singer-Sargent, Gary Gygax, Yasushi Nirasawa, Yoshitaka Amano, Bel Hellmer, Joel Peter Witken, and Odd Nerdrum, Franklin Booth, Andrew Loomis, JC Lyendecker, Art of Capcom, Joe Maduera, Bill Sienkiewicz, Tarvis Charest, Adam Hughes, Mike Mignola, Berni Wrightson, Iain McCaig, Peter Chan, etc.... the list goes on and on.
